From battery to sound, without an installation
This is a standalone horn, not an attachment that needs a working drill. Screw the metal trumpets into the base by hand, slide on a compatible Milwaukee M18 battery, and operate the built-in trigger. No vehicle wiring or additional assembly tools are required.
The included remote lets you sound the horn without holding the trigger. Its upgraded radio system reaches up to 300 ft, depending on interference, obstacles and the surroundings. An optional long-range remote extends the stated range to up to 2,000 ft.
One M18 platform, a choice of horn layouts
Apex Dual, Apex Quad and the Classic configurations differ in trumpet arrangement and sound. They share the same basic cordless operation. Choose the model in the selector; this page explains the Milwaukee-compatible horn family as a whole.
Two-trumpet models offer two volume levels. Four- and five-trumpet models offer three. Every selection includes one standard remote and a Quick Start Guide.
Purpose-built around the compressor
Our current housing gives the air-compressor motor a secure, dedicated fit. Earlier generations started with modified power-tool shells; developing our own housing removed the need to dismantle a donor tool and discard its internal parts.
The housing introduced in mid-2026 and the custom control board introduced in mid-2025 are part of our continuing product development. Metal-alloy trumpets with a powder-coated finish provide durable construction and resistance to corrosion.
Electronics that look after the motor and battery
The control board checks battery voltage at startup and during operation. If the voltage is too low, it stops the motor from drawing the battery down further. Receiver power management also limits the drain that an always-powered radio can cause.
Motor protection tracks operating time to manage heat. If the horn enters its cooling lockout, leave the battery connected and allow about 10 minutes. After disconnecting a locked-out horn, reconnect the battery and allow 10–15 minutes so the timer can complete.
Three ways to power the radio receiver
Always on keeps remote reception available; Always off turns the receiver off. In Standard mode, the receiver stays on for three hours after the battery is connected or after the last horn activation, then switches itself off.
Our testing found that Standard mode protects against deep-discharge damage during months of connected storage, with some tested conditions extending beyond a year. We still recommend removing the battery after use to avoid unintended activation from radio signals.
What to have ready
Bring a compatible Milwaukee M18 18V battery and its charger, or select compatible extras when ordering. The battery and charger are not part of the base horn package.
Your horn is assembled in the USA and covered by a 1-year warranty. The setup is cordless and portable; it does not require a Milwaukee drill or impact driver.

Use a compatible Milwaukee M18 18V battery
Choose the horn built for the Milwaukee M18 18V battery platform. A compatible pack supplies power directly to the horn, without a drill in between.
- A battery from another platform is not a substitute for an M18-compatible pack.
- Check the battery platform before choosing capacity or adding an extra pack.
- Battery and charger are sold separately. Use your own compatible accessories or select optional extras.

Operating your M18-compatible horn
The M18 battery supplies power; the horn’s own electronics handle activation, selectable volume and protection.
Use the trigger or go wireless
- Built-in trigger: press the trigger on the horn handle to activate it.
- Included wireless remote: up to 300 ft range.
- Optional long-range remote: up to 2,000 ft range, sold separately.
Radio range depends on obstacles, interference and the surrounding environment.
Selectable volume
Your M18-compatible horn offers selectable sound levels instead of one fixed output. The trumpet count determines how many settings are available.
Your selected model: 3 volume levels. Two-trumpet models have two levels; four- and five-trumpet models have three.
Give the motor its cooling time
Extended horn use produces heat. The control board tracks operating time and can pause the motor so a cooling period can take place.
- Leave the battery connected. Allow about 10 minutes before continuing.
- If you removed the battery during lockout, reconnect it. Wait 10–15 minutes for the cooling timer to finish, even if the motor has already cooled.
Battery protection at startup and in standby
Protection is built into the horn itself: motor power and wireless standby power are managed separately.
- Motor voltage checks: the board checks battery voltage at startup and during operation. Low voltage prevents the motor from draining a depleted pack further.
- Receiver power management: radio standby power is controlled separately to reduce the drain associated with leaving a receiver on continuously.
Choose the receiver power mode
- Always on
- The wireless receiver stays powered.
- Always off
- The wireless receiver is switched off.
- Standard
- The receiver stays active for three hours after connecting the battery or sounding the horn. Every activation starts a new three-hour window; after it expires, the receiver switches off automatically.
After use: disconnect the battery before storage to help prevent unintended activation from radio signals.
